Featuring professional skill contests and heartwarming offline team activities, the event demonstrates solid practical capabilities of our front-line production team, interprets unique corporate humanistic care and craftsman spirit, and highlights team vitality and corporate strength.
Stick to production craftsmanship, guarantee product quality and consolidate team foundation. Adopting a senior-junior paired team competition mode instead of traditional individual contest, this product assembly skills competition divides all contestants into 3 groups in line with company staffing and talent training plans. Each group consists of one experienced senior staff with rich post experience and one energetic new employee. The competition mode realizes knowledge inheritance from senior veterans to new recruits, makes up operational shortcomings with rich experience and activates team vitality with new thinking, perfectly practicing the company’s long-term mentor-mentee talent training system and stepped talent development concept. To fully prepare for the contest, all contestants made adequate preparations with high morale. They spared spare time after work to visit the sample room repeatedly, observing detailed structures, fastener buckles, splicing interfaces and screw positioning of round steel limit fences and European-style farrowing crates. Besides sorting out assembly procedures and marking error-prone points, contestants took the initiative to consult senior workshop and technical colleagues, learning speed-improving skills, error avoidance methods and standard process requirements. They deduced assembly steps and simulated practical operations repeatedly to finish full preparation for process planning, risk prevention and process check, standing by for the competition with best working state.
Fully aligned with mass production standards of front-line workshops and livestock equipment manufacturing business, each team was required to finish assembly of two core products — a set of round steel limit fence and a set of Deba Brothers classic European-style farrowing crate within 2 hours. The competition evaluated five core indicators including assembly speed, finished product precision, standardized process implementation, appearance neatness and team collaboration to comprehensively test staff professional competence and team tacit understanding. After the kick-off, the competition venue was orderly with intense and positive atmosphere. Each group had clear division of labor: senior employees controlled overall process details, checked factory delivery standards and avoided processing defects to regulate assembly rhythm; new employees coordinated with parts sorting, basic assembly and tool matching, accumulating front-line practical experience and consolidating post skills during operation. Facing difficulties including gap control of pipe fitting, special-shaped part matching and frame horizontal calibration, contestants turned to on-site technical and production colleagues for help actively instead of blind exploration. On-site colleagues put aside their work, explained technical difficulties patiently and demonstrated assembly skills hand in hand. The competition carried both competitive spirit and warm teamwork spirit of mutual assistance and experience sharing. All three teams overcame difficulties and promoted procedures efficiently, completing full product assembly in strict accordance with production standards within the 2-hour time limit. Every precise splicing and bolt fixing witnesses the production team’s pursuit of perfection and strict quality control awareness.
After all three teams finished assembly and tidied up tools, the fair and professional evaluation session officially started. To ensure objective, impartial and transparent scoring without subjective preference, an authoritative referee team was set up, composed of General Manager, Production Director, Quality Inspection Manager and Technical Department Supervisor. The four referees conducted cross-inspection independently, scoring items including assembly flatness, part fitting tightness, process compliance, overall appearance and time control against factory quality inspection standards on site. Final ranking was confirmed by calculating the average score of four referees. The competition was extremely fierce with three teams possessing comparable strengths and tight scores throughout the contest. After rigorous score statistics, the final results were released. The third-prize team delivered excellent work with few operational mistakes, yet lost the award by a tiny score gap and subtle process difference. Though failing to win a higher ranking, their fighting spirit and solid professional skills won unanimous recognition from referees and all staff. Free from vicious competition and rivalry, the competition was filled with mutual recognition and appreciation, proving outstanding professional literacy of all front-line employees.
Show professional craftsmanship on the competition field, gather staff with warm food and fireworks. After the intense skills competition, the self-service barbecue dinner kicked off to relieve work pressure. Abandoning commercial outsourced catering services, the whole team building activity was independently prepared by company employees. Staff finished all procedures including ingredients purchasing, fresh meat cutting, skewer stringing, vegetable cleaning, charcoal firing and food plating spontaneously. Everyone divided work rationally and cooperated closely, undertaking food pretreatment, barbecue cooking, site arrangement and food distribution respectively. Removing job identities and competition boundaries, employees enjoyed relaxing team time, extending tacit work cooperation into warm daily companionship.
The team building was filled with warm kindness from colleagues. Master Sui from Warehouse Department generously donated self-grown seasonal vegetables including scallions, potatoes and cucumbers from his private vegetable garden, which were fresh, pollution-free and purely natural. In addition, he brought two domestic white geese, and staff stewed delicious goose with potatoes together. The tender goose meat absorbed vegetable gravy, presenting authentic home-cooked farm flavor. Every vegetable and every bite of food carries sincere goodwill among colleagues. The home-made delicacies not only brought delicious taste, but also delivered simple and warm friendship and strong team warmth.
As sunset fell and gentle evening breeze blew with barbecue smoke, the evening karaoke session started delightfully. All employees sat around the barbecue area, getting rid of daily work pressure and workplace formality. Colleagues took turns to sing popular songs, classic old songs and folk ballads, with hearty laughter and casual conversations going on. On the competition field, they were competitive teammates striving for excellence; at work, they were cooperative partners tackling difficulties together; in daily life, they were close colleagues accompanying each other day and night. Melodious songs, cheerful laughter and crackling charcoal sounds blended together, shortening interpersonal distance and enhancing team cohesion and collective sense of belonging greatly.
