The Licha Black Pig features tender and fresh meat with a rich and fragrant flavor. The cut surface of its pork has a special aromatic smell, with distinct marbling patterns. It has a low cholesterol content and is rich in amino acids.
Officially named in 1977, it was included in the Annals of Livestock Breeds in Shandong Province in 1983. In 2000, it was listed in the first batch of the National List of Protected Livestock and Poultry Breeds, and in 2006, it was once again designated as a national-level protected breed of livestock and poultry genetic resources. It is a high-quality "local pig" originating from the Jiaodong Peninsula.
In order to protect, cultivate and strengthen the advantageous and characteristic industry of the Licha Black Pig, and to fully create a characteristic brand of the Licha Black Pig, the Licha Black Pig Breeding and Cultivation Demonstration Base came into being as one of the key projects for urban renewal and urban construction in Licha Town, Jiaozhou City in 2024. In accordance with the overall requirements of "planning the future with a global vision, improving work with international standards, and highlighting characteristics with local advantages", the project aims to achieve leapfrog development of the Licha Black Pig industry and effectively promote the comprehensive revitalization of the countryside
The project covers a total area of approximately 900 mu, with a planned building area of about 67,000 square meters and a total investment of 270 million yuan. In the first phase, there is a breeding base, which is a purebred breeding pig farm with 2,000 basic sows. The main structures include 2 gestation houses, 2 farrowing houses, 2 nursery houses, 2 testing houses, and 8 fattening houses. In the second phase, downstream facilities such as a slaughter and processing center will be constructed. It is planned to sell 50,000 pigs for slaughter annually and maintain a daily inventory of 30,000 pigs. A black pig breeding and cultivation base integrating a breeding base, a demonstration base, a display base, and a training base will be built.
The project is fully in line with international standards. The feed processing center, large-diameter high-altitude feeding system, air source heat pump system, and liquid fermentation feeding system run through the entire site. Relying on the abundant planting resources in the surrounding area, it realizes the connection of the entire industrial chain, covering aspects from feed production, breeding, cultivation, returning manure to the fields, slaughtering, to the production of end food products.
The project is equipped with two centralized and intensive intelligent central kitchens for liquid fermentation feeding. These kitchens cover the entire process from artificial insemination to the fattening stage, enabling the feeding of liquid fermented feed throughout the whole life cycle of pigs. This reduces the adaptability problems that pigs may encounter due to the change of feeding modes at different stages and improves the feeding efficiency.
The liquid feeding system can make extensive use of agricultural and sideline products as well as fermentation raw materials. These can be purchased at a low price, thus saving feed costs. The liquid feed with high palatability can improve the feed conversion ratio of pigs, increase their slaughter weight, or shorten the time to reach the slaughter weight, achieving both cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Compared with traditional dry feed, liquid feeding can reduce the dispersion of dust in the pig house, and lower the probability of pigs and personnel suffering from respiratory diseases. The intelligent terminal automatically takes over the feeding work of the whole farm, which greatly reduces manual intervention and lowers labor costs.
The water circulation and pipeline cleaning system eliminates the residue of feed on the pipe walls and the waste of water resources. The tank supports self-cleaning and disinfection, which further improves biosecurity.
DEBA Brothers is committed to promoting efficient and advanced feeding modes and equipment, and making contributions to the intelligent, green and efficient development of the pig farming industry. Build the future pig farm!
